Separate Silica From Bentonite

Background

Separate silica (sand) from samples of bentonite and fuller’s earth (clay).

Procedure

A sieve analysis was initally performed on the samples to determine the size distibution. Both samples were then sized on a Texas Shaker, and then each size fraction was run a a lab size V-135.
