Conveying Air-Cooled Steel Shot Batches to Designated Bins
Customer Challenge
A world leader who manufacturers high-quality steel abrasives needed a solution for conveying and distribution of the varied air-cooled shot grades to designated bins within their new facility expansion. The elevated conveyor needed to be able to receive the product at an intermediate point and then convey the product one or the other direction from that midpoint to one of the ten discharge gates/locations.
Triple/S Solution
Within the Triple/S Dynamics’ lab, testing was performed to several grades of the product to evaluate the effectiveness of the Slipstick Horizontal Motion Conveyor on the customer provided samples. The lab analysis determined the product samples conveyed and cleared the pan successfully when a slight decline was introduced to the Slipstick’s pan.
