The Longhorn can screen down to 325 mesh. Standard size decks include 4x8, 5x10, 5x12 and 6x12 and are stagger-stacked at a 33 degree incline. The Longhorn can be configured in a single deck unit or stacked up to 5 decks, each independent from one another. The Longhorn has no center punching of the screen sections and no bar rubber is required. Screen cloth square footage required is less than a typical vibrating screen. The screen is driven by unbalanced motors through a vibrating rail. The rail construction is stainless steel to minimize corrosion problems. The rail is supported on pneumatic springs which keep the screen cloth precisely tensioned. The Longhorn Screener is equipped with a hydraulic lift system to raise the staggered decks for screen cloth changing and maintenance. The screener is equipped with a standard 4” discharge port, but all discharges can be custom designed to fit a particular application.
Applications for the Longhorn include screening frac sand, foundry sand, glass cullet, salt, sugar, lime, dry clay, fertilizer, fly ash, iron powders, and flours.
